So since we all have Established that hip-hop is vvery much alive in our hearts....

How we feel about the status of Hip-Hop being Independant...

This list of independant artist is astounding...they are either in indy status in lable limo or fishing for a new deal.

The issue here is, if everybody is independant what is going to happen to major lables? Artist such as Papoose, Jay-Z, Nas, Beyounce, Slim Thug, Pharell, Clipse and so many more are still in major lable contracts..

Basically my question is what will major lables do? Will they start giving up half of the maters?? will they start paying the artist more?? willl these lables free up some of the creative process?? What will happen to these major lables.

As of now sosme of your fave Rappers producers and DJ's are being over shawdowed by up and coming talent who have choosing the independant route..what do u see for the future of the music industry?

I see a positive future for rap if the artists learn to use their brains, look at Papoose, these motherfuckers are going nuts trying to sign him because he's the future, He's smart & very talented, he has the brain to play The Game instead of letting The Game play him, everybody else needs to look at him and follow suit.

Funny you say that Papoose has lost half of his fan base..a lot more then half

A lot of us are upset he signed with a major, everyone wanted pap to be independant...da fact he signed with a major means, his album will neva come out or when it does it will be so bad we wish it had neva came out either way

Papoose is da future him and lupe but honestly Lupe album got its five minutes of fame now where is Lupe? its a breath of fresh air when they come out with these projects but if your not like Kanye tha type of artist man worker that can merge all forms of music together and bring his listeners in your gonna have a hard time staying strong...

I mean its gonna be a struggle for Pap, now that he is on Jive and depending on his contract and what he signed he is fucked...you no how many artist got fucked on da lable, clipse was stuck there for like five years mystical got fucked by them...dat is not tha right lable for papoose or any hiphop artist for that matter

Papoose should have stayed with kayslay, they had a good relationship with what they did, they had it locked, papoose and kayslay = crack
papoose and jive = bad move

pappy is kinda boring me now imma have to agree wit hof when he said that

like he get on some tough beats but im reachin for him to go to da next level

jay-z said

"My album Kingdom come is to show rappers and other artist that we do grow up. You have rappers rappin like their 15 years old and they are grown men, it is kind of embarresing"

Now....with that said i feel anybody can do it, show some growth in your music, it use to be a point in da industry when da lable heads had no clue what hip-hop was. They were so far from hip-hop they couldn't sit and dictate a rappers album..what they could tell us was how to make money

We need to take out shit back once and for all..stand up and want more from da music.

Papoose shit as real as it is, as polotical as he can get it seems like his shit is drawn out and he hit us wit sooo much shit for da mixtapes makes u wonder what he has for an album...yall no he is 27 years old right? Pap is a grown ass mothafuckin man..he needs to kind of man his music up

heres a quote from Smoke of Field Mob (not that hes anybody but he speaks the truth)

"Me and Shawn [J] we still make Hip-Hop music, but people don't wanna accept it because it got a southern twang. Hip-hop is wordplay, saying something, metaphors. I love Hip-Hop. I fell in love with Mobb Deep [and] Nas -- these are the people that influenced me. People like Bun B. He's a Hip-Hop artist. MJG, Eightball -- those are hip-hop southern artists. The old south is Hip-Hop. The new south...naaahh!"

this is a real southern motherfucker not being biased and telling it how it is.

gods honest truth d4l and dem franchise boys should be taken out to a cliff and someone play some crunk music and let them dance they fuckin way off the cliff. laffy taffy is not a hip-hop song (kryptonite) is, lean wit it rock wit it is a purely club track, hence doesnt even need lyrics(so why did they rap on it?) to make people listen and shake to it.

at least when fat joe did lean back and the 2 billion remixes that came with it they all came with some lyrics that you could listen to and be singin the words while you dancin with it. Just like "Lets Go" with trick daddy twista and lil' jon.

southern rappers is all good as long as they come hard and hungry, and dont let a ceo or industry head tell them how to do it
big up to scarface, outkast, trick daddy, chamillionaire, field mob, and luda

peace 1
p.s. purp gang could blow anytime now
