Suge Knight Forced To Auction Off Death Row, Label Sold For $24 Mil

Suge Knight's legendary hip-hop label, Death Row Records, was auctioned and sold on Wednesday for $24 million.

According to TMZ, Global Music Group's president Susan Berg shelled out the cash, putting her in control of all the recordings by Tupac Shakur, Snoop Dogg, and Dr. Dre during their stay at the label. And as a bonus her purchase also includes an additional 20 unreleased ‘Pac tracks.

Considered one of the most infamous labels from the mid-90's, former owner Suge Knight was forced by a bankruptcy court judge to auction all assets to the highest bidder.

The troubles began in 2005 when Knight was ordered to pay $107 million to former partner Lydia Harris who accused him owing her profits after she was forced out of the label. This caused Suge to file for bankruptcy in April 2006 when Suge filed for federal bankruptcy.

Prior to Berg's purchase, Warner Music Group and Koch Records had also shown interest in buying the label's music catalog.

He spent his whole carrer scaring people and using strong arm techniques from the street to get shit done. When that is not how you conduct business. He actually had bloods and shit working at death row it just was not a safe enviorment for anyone.

Then he was extorting his artist had it not been for snoop dog dr dre and 2pac it would have been no Death Row and he treated his artist like shit.

After pac died and i was sooo interested in all of those theories surrounding his death i spent days online on those fan made 2pac sites reading up about his life and shit and one thing i read was that pac was going to leave death row because suge was not paying him correctly for all of his hard work. And instead of giving him cash was like paying him with jewels and cars and shit. Basically suge was robbing his artist

till this day i believe he had something to do with the murder of 2pac and biggie. I once read that he had 2pac killed and then biggie killed so that it would seem like an east vs west thing when honestly it was suge pulling the strings...

So many people have come out and said he was behind they death but they just can't prove it so hes free on all charges

I really doubt Suge had anything to do with Pac being killed beyond the fact that 2Pac started claiming MOB Piru after getting with Suge, Tupac was never a gangster before and had no idea what kind of shit he could get into by claiming Suge's set and playing the part.

As far as Biggie's death....do a search on "The Rampart scandal", i think it was off duty cops that got him and i think Suge may have had a role in that.

But Suge ownED the masters to all the classic 90s shit, so I would assume that with Death Row comes the money from all of Tupac's shit, all Snoop's old shit, I mean Tha Chronic still sells and that's on Death Row, etc.
