Default Rick Ross Set To Top The Charts? - 16-03-2008, 01:45 PM

It seems as though after Super Tuesday's music releases, Rick Ross' sophomore album, Trilla-- the follow-up to his 2006 debut, Port of Miami-- is projected to enter the charts next week at No. 1.

According to industry insiders at Hits Daily Double, based on one-day sales reports from retailers, the Florida rapper's disc is set to have between 165,000 - 175,000 in first-week sales.

Ross' success can be attributed to the long list of producers and artists featured on the album. Behind the boards, J.R. Rotem, Mannie Fresh, The Runners and the J.U.S.T.I.C.E League all contributed to Mr. MIA-O's set. While Ross enlisted his A-list friends like Jay-Z, Lil'Wayne, DJ Khaled, Nelly and Young Jeezy for support.

If predictions are correct, Ross will best hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg. The Doggfather's ninth studio album, Ego Trippin' is slated to come in at No. 3 with what would appear to b around 130,000 in sales.

Terror Squad general Fat Joe keeps his name in the headlines, as his eighth solo album The Elephant in the Room is projected to enter the Top 10, with approximately 50,000 albums sold.

Trilla is in iTunes already.
Some good shit to bang in ya trunk.
After listening to previews of Fat Joe's album, I can honestly say that 2-3 songs are good, and the rest are, how should I say...shit.
