Pap leaves jive 50 CENT OUTSELLS KANYE IN EUROPE

Papoose leaves Jive Records. Whoa! This one came out of left field. Pap inked a much publicized $1.5 million deal with the label roughly a year ago. The two parties apparently couldn't see eye to eye on the project's direction. Judging by Kay's voice, Pap had been looking to become a free agent for quite some time.

"We have officially gotten our release from Jive @#*$ing Records," Slay shared. "It was like a @#*$ing year of hell. Big shout to Barry Weiss and Peter Tea. I want to shout them out. They meant well. They believed in the project. Unfortunately, we almost became victims of A&R hell. You cannot put a 60 something year-old white man on a 20 something year-old black kid's project form Brooklyn and think it's gonna pop. No you cannot. You will wind up with certain records that we didn't want to come, they want to come out. And like I said, it's not a bashing, it's a reality."

1. 50 didn't lose. Sure, Kanye West outsold 50 in the U.S. according to Nielsen's SoundScan numbers. But the Queens rapper has reportedly edged out the Louis Vutton Don in Europe, according to Billboard. 50's Curtis came in at No. 1 while West's Graduation took the third slot. Fif initially cancelled his U.K. appearances shortly after SoundScan released its numbers. Maybe not. The dates are back on schedule and Fif is slated to head overseas for several concert dates next week. West still outsold Fif overall though.

i havent heard kanye's album yet still havent got the chance BUT i have heard 50cent's album and to say the least i dont like it at all. There's nothing good on the whole cd besides I Get Money and maybe one more (the person's pick). I can say I'm SURE Kanye's is better and 50 yea he gets for sellin another country but kanye aint even promotin all out there like that. 50 over there doin concerts and shit. Also, 50 was th eone who made the bet and now he feels stupid he got outsold. SO to Kanye more

idk i think yall are just being biased when listening to 50's album. theres a lot of dope shit on there imo, and i only find myself bumping 3-4 songs off kanye's. and YES, i have listened to both albums more than a few times.

and its funny, i wouldve expected myself to be leaning more towards kanye's side because of content, but i like fif's album better.

whether kanye won or not, the fact is 50 will not flop.Over 600 grand sold in his first week is great, for canibus that would be a lifetime achievement

just like miss jones said on da radio 50 cent and kanye had a non violent no lyrical battle of album sales and at da end of tha day tha only winner was hip-hop

with their lil contest hip-hop seen the most sells in one week then it has seen in almost 2 years

and i believe it or not hip-hop needed that and people forget that 50 cent is naturally competitive and had he really wanted drama with kanye their would have been real name calling and real beef instead he started this i will outsell kanye to push people into tha stores to buy his album and at tha time im sure he felt that he would outsell kanye but shit i look at it like they both did real good numbers and no matter if kanye did win he still needs to sell like 28 million more records to catch up with 50 and that is where all 50's shit talking came from

he has sold over 30 million records where as kanye hasn't even sold 4 million with both his albums so yeah lets jus wait for tha overall sells before we say who really won

I'm soooo glad Pap got the fuck away from Jive. Honestly, I was wondering why he even signed with them in the first place. Look what they did to Clipse. You could tell Jive was tryin to turn him into another wack commercial rapper too. Anyone ever hear that Pap song Fitted Hat Low?? That shit was straight trash. I felt embarassed for that -----.
