you bring up a valid point but bust it. Do I enjoy Soulja Boys music? No. Do I hate His Music No. I tolerate him because I look at him like this. He is from the bottom and he made it doing the same shit I do everyday. In his crib making beats rhyming getting his hustle on trying to eat.
|
You may tolerate his actions but I simply refuse to tolerate the ignorance of others. Soulja Boy just happens to fit into this category.

He got Lucky Crank That Soulja Boy was his break and now he is doing big things. Really big things, your asking what can he do. He is 17 years old and he has his own record company with his own artist who have albums coming out and who are all over they TV.
|
Soulja Boy owns a fourth-tier record label that features talent that rivals that of a mental psych ward. The only artist that I've ever heard of that is signed to that label is Arab, who's music was forced upon the mainstream like a child predator on Dateline. By the way, watching yourself on a web cam connected to your television doesn't constitute you as being "all over" television.

He has billions of fans he has made millions of ringtones alone let alone his other ventures such as his acting and his Soulja Boy TV. that lil ----- is smart. Fuck what you herd. I stopped hating on the fact i disliked his music a long time ago and started watching him hustle.
|
Billions? Lmao. I highly doubt that some teenage scrub with an IQ that makes Forest Gump look like Einstein has as many fans as people served by McDonald's.
The bottom line is that HE IS NOT SMART. His marketing team is smart. People who are experienced in marketing know how to market bullshit out to those who will willingly take. The success of Soulja Boy in the mainstream is yet another example of excellent marketing, not an example of his intelligence.

Half of the shit these rappers say aint work a squril fart not just Soulja boy countless rappers put out garbage and they are grown ass men.
And im sorry to tell you guys Hip-Hop has evolved it has become so much more then what it was built on. They have expanded it to another level. If you ask the kids what they want to hear they want to hear Soulja Boy they like that shit. He has fans and he has a right to do him fuck what people feel about him.
|
Hip-Hop has not expanded. The Hip-Hop that started it all in the 70's and 80's is dead and it died out a long ass time ago (way before the inception of Soulja Boy and similar artists). What we have, instead, is a merger of Pop and Rap into the mainstream media, which correctly classifies the type of music that Soulja Boy releases.
Besides, just because someone has fans doesn't mean that he/she is putting out a good product. Kids (including myself at one point) are naturally ignorant and they tend to like what is "popular" against what is actually good. Within the next few years, they'll realize that their liking of Soulja Boy was most likely caused by peer influence instead of an actual enjoyment of his product.

And thats how i look at it. I aint no hater, I know how to not like something and keep it moving you don't gotta say that everything a person does is wrong or stupid because you dislike them that is hating and if you are a hater then fine your justified.
|
My thing is, if I don't like something, why would I want to keep it moving? If anything, I wish it didn't exist because it brings an annoyance to my life. Besides, if people didn't hate, we would never get anything accomplished in this world. :)

Soulja Boy said if you dont like what im doing come show me how to do it better. That is an invention for someone to help him elevate.
|
Invitation I assume? It's a pretty stupid thing for Soulja Boy to say though. I mean, if someone doesn't like what he is doing, why would they want to help him? A first impression goes a long way, and well, he's already fucked that up. He would need a Steve Francis vertical to elevate himself to mediocrity and even that wouldn't repair the image that he has created for himself.

Instead yall call him disrespectful and hate, fuck outta here Ice T can kiss a big yellow ass who could give a fuck about him.
|
I give a fuck about Ice T. :)
He (Soulja Boy) is disrespectful. Artists like Ice T went through a lot of problems bringing the industry into the mainstream and I can see as to why an artist like T is pissed off. Pioneers of the modern Rap industry risked everything, including their lives, to earn a good reputation for their genre among the elite ranks of the music world. Talentless individuals, such as Mr. Way, are spoiled and fail to realize how artists such as Ice T made their careers possible. If it wasn't for artists such as T, Soulja Boy would most likely be working in a McDonald's right about now instead of enjoying the luxuries of life that many people never experience. From that video he placed online, he is obviously not grateful for the contributions of pioneering artists such as Ice T that has allowed him to have a house, a good life, and money to blow away on material possessions.

And news flash just because Ice T is on tv don't mean he can act i watch law in order he sucks thats why he hardly has story lines based around him..
|
Ice T was acting before he was putting albums out. While he is not a great actor, he is a decent one that still manages to get new acting roles to this day so he is obviously doing something right. The reason that he isn't a featured character in the story line is most likely due to the fact that his character was introduced after the premiere season and not because of inadequate acting skills.
With all of that being said, please take the time to research in the future before using the power of assumption when involving yourself in a debate. It helps. :)
