Alright you know i gotta say something on this one so here i go.

For Ice-T: I understand where he is coming from. For music that seemed to come with, or required more effort/intelligence its hard to witness all that passed up for some " Crank that superman","Hey-Baybay","Laffy-Taffy" crap. Simple as that is one hit radio, to drunk in the club to care so ima just enjoy the beat crap. I for one dont like it, but the younger generation does. But thats what they put out for them to listen to. There isnt much else in mainstream unless you want to hear someone whos high off that lean. So if you feel hip-hop downgraded after your generation, i would be mad too. And for telling soulja to "eat a dick"...............so thats the way he feels i'd tell him the same.

As for soulja: Eat a dick!!!! Eat a bowl of baby dicks for all i care.

Believe it or not i don't blame him exactly for the failure of hip-hop, but hes the prime example at the moment. Its been a long process of crap radio music going on and the more it makes my ears bleed the more the kids eat it up. It goes back to young joc and his little motorcycle dance remember that? you can go back further if you want but you see my point. As for his response "acceptable for his age and for his style" You didn't expect a straight up gangsta "TI" response did you?

As for me: Soulja says "do something,Save hip-hop" There's no need cause you aint hip-hop, you ain't rap. Its a whole new category "crap-hop" thats just a bastard child of hip-hop cause when they found out how bad your kind was it left. @Hof - Don't use age as a way to criticize Ice T's actions. Snap music was being frowned upon before Soulja Boy entered the scene so he knew damn well what he was getting himself into by creating snap tracks.

As far as killing Hip-Hop, well, that shit died a decade ago. Besides, like I previously said, I refuse to associate the genre of Soulja Boy's music as either Hip-Hop or Rap.

I think the ultimate message that Ice T is trying to get across is that the record labels are doing a shitty job at quality control these days. That, as evident by Soulja Boy's response video alone, is quite true.

Justin is absolutely right. For the love of god the word "hater" needs to be banned from all conversations involving music. Its essentially the easy way out. He didn't compare his actions to a Nazi but the example helps you see what he is trying to explain

When he says he worked hard hes talking bout the countless hours he was prolly up making beats and writing his rhymes. The countless meetings that he had to go to to get his label off the ground. The road trips being away from his family for months. All of the shows. If you look at his myspace ----- got a show like every other day so thats a lot of performing and traveling

On top of all of that V.I.C album and Arab albums are coming out and im hearing mumbles that he is working on his second album as well as a possible clothing line

so if that isn't working i dont no what is he does more in one day then Ice T prolly does all month

You don't make it your business to run around and talk about how bad it is or exactly why you dont like it. You let it be known you dont like it and keep it moving. What Ice T is pissed about is Soulja boy fueling the demise of hip hop, every time a bullshit track comes out and people get suckered into buying it, there's that much more incentive for the next motherfucker to do the same, it's a fucking snowball effect, it gets bigger and bigger until that's the only type of music coming out.

Rap music is fucking garbage and i hate it with a passion, that's why i do not buy retail albums anymore, i wont ever purchase a Pac album these days, even HIS music is being fucked up by "modernizing" it, snoop has sold out, Scarface is doing good but can't be expected to put out many more albums.... all the OGs are dead or retired and the ones who ain't cant get any real success because the bullship Pop rap is overshadowing them.
