Net didnt kill hip hop it makes it still alive. Only by net we get info bout underground artists and find new talents by mixtapes and stuff, without it it would be really bad

Werd... I agree, I don't blame the Internet as much, because I believe overall, if it's good music people will give it attention, I believe there's alot of crap out there saturating the market, but as a community we've always had bad and good, but we rely on the public to weed the dope tracks for themselves...

I hate to state the obvious, but this is the first time we have alot of people stating that Hiphop is dead...I think it's because of the wackass dirty south! I'm not hating, I'm actually from the south and I give props to the good tracks & artists that are released from the south. There's just way too much biting and not enough originality coming from the south, and I think that's where the argument comes in that really divides the southern hiphop style to the northern/eastcoast and westcoast styles...

Remember back in the 90's when you had the east coast/west coast beef? Of course alot had to do with BIG and 2pac, but it was also because of the different styles and beats...but back then you had your choice of biggie, 2pac, tribe called quest, outkast, countless R&B artists and more...

I personally believe that these dirty south songs are not going to be played back in the future as classics, as we still play biggie and 2pac's songs for example, still to this day...It's a lack-luster attempt lyrically and morally (message wise)...They are just not saying anything we haven't heard before and not being creative with it... plain and simple. IMOP

hip hop isn't dead and neither is rap music

people need to stop calling rap music hip hop, hip hop is a culture, and people need to stop saying the music section of the culture is dead, it's not just cause u dont like it doesn't mean it's dead

i dont think hip-hop/rap is dead, its just all of the new shit is so forgetable that it might aswell not exist.

people these days are pretty much aiming to be one hit wonders and makin catchy 'get-rich-quick' songs.

the only think thats killin hip-hop is laziness.

lmao yall are sooooo funny...one rapper says it's dead then suddenly you jump ship...want to know why all these old rappers think it's dead, cause it doesn't put money in their pockets anymore...and if it were to die, all these bullshit things are not the cause, it's the fans...cause YOU fans are too cheap to go buy the products you like...don't blame the labels, or the radio stations, or the artists...they are just trying to work with what the fans have shown them work...it's called supply in demand...they supply you with what you demand, 1 million people demanded wayne in his first week, so watch artists and labels and radio stations to try n copy, market, and display what wayne did because of how successful it was...if you want better music, buy a record, get all your friends to buy the record, get them to get their friends to buy it, and so forth...you cheap bastards
