Talent Points + Thank points

I had a look in the FAQ but was wondering what these were all about... (and also because I had a "thankyou point" this morning but then it disappeared... could anyone enlighten me please :)

When you post replys on peoples work in the talent section, you get 1 talent point per reply to each different post (for example if you reply twice in 1 thread, you only get 1 point, where as if you reply to two different threads you get 2 points, one for each thread),,, after you get three points, you will be able to start your own thread in the talent section, but after you do, you lose those 3 points.

Thanks points are for if you upload some content (i,e a mixtape, album, music video) and somebody clicks the thanks to see hidden content (ie download) you get a thank point. However theres other ways to get thank points,,, for example, you post a article that I really liked, so I thank you for it (by clicking thanks)

Do you know how you can lose thank points though (like I seemed to today)?

you cannot to the best of my knowledge lose thanked points. If you go to your user CP (control panel at the top of the page) you should see if you were in fact thanked, and by who, if theres nothing there you might be seeing things lol

I do see one talent point, is that what you might be reffering to?

No no, its was a thank point, it said whose name it was on the post at the time but I cant remember... I uploaded a tune to the mp3 player and I think someone thanked me to dl it from the rapidshare link, but it vanished upon the tune being uploaded to the player I think.

Not the end of the world like, just wondering...

"Thanks" can be removed by staff members (maybe just me, not sure),

I removed it because I didn't feel it's really a post to be thanked on...
