There are many reasons as to why this could happen. Something in the motherboard could short, a power surge could screw something up, or so forth.
To be honest, unless you've reformatted your hard drive already, your files are probably still on there. You may simply have a corrupt operating system. In that case I would simply suggest downloading a small version of Linux (such as Damn Small Linux) and use that to back-up any important files that you would like to keep. From there, re-format the disk and re-install your Windows OS.
If the issue is software (which is probably is) and the only thing that is actually gone is the operating system, then most likely you received a virus. Just get your files using Linux (or if you have access to another computer, hook your hard drive up as a slave device) and then re-format the drive to re-install the OS. You could try "repairing" the OS before you attempt to re-format but in my honest opinion the Microsoft repairing system is a piece of shit.
Good luck. Hopefully you could understand what I am trying to explain as I know there is some geek jargon thrown here and there. In the event that your files were wiped from the hard drive (or if you have already reformatted), I will try to find that program that I have that will attempt to recover the files (or some of the files at least). |
yeah , i found my files .. seems that a virus [ i'm guessing ] has created many temp folders and temp accounts .. so everytime that i restart my computer or turn it off then back on , it creates another folder . so i'm transferring my files into another cpu and hopefully i'll be back and up and running . thanks for the help justin .
