Firefox Keeps Losing Internet Connection. I Need Help.

my firefox keeps losing the internet connection. this time it's not time warner's fault. i can still open ie and aim fine.

i have to close firefox, ctrl-alt-del and stop the firefox.exe process and then re-open firefox. sometimes that helps but most of the time i have to reboot my pc in order to get firefox to work again.

today is the first time that this has happened. damn bad luck. my mouse left click went out on me two days and now firefox...

i have the newest version. 3.0.1. i have also uninstalled it and reinstalled but it still happens.

it seems to lose connection on certain websites. i can't even view the embedded youtube video on this forum link 'cause firefox loses its internet connection everytime i open the thread.

update ur anti-virus, run a full system scan.

^i did all of that last night. nothin' works. i'm really just about to wipe (f6 wipe, 7 passes Dept. of defense wipe [i can get the software from work] not reformat) my hard drive and reinstall windows.

i took 15 hours to wipe a 20gb hard drive so that they could give away an old pc at work and not worry about somebody gettin' business secrets off of the drive. i only have a 500gb and 160gb hard drive to wipe.

my solution for problems it to replace hardware.

so i'm finally gonna quit bein' lazy, go pick up my 500gb sata2 hard drive from a friend's house, back up everything on this ide 160gb hard drive, set the jumpers on the sata2 to make it sata, and see if i can finally get it to work on this motherboard. if it works, then i need to backup my music and anime.

i suggest u downgrade to firefox 2.0
i'm having lots of problems on firefox 3.0 too

yeah I'd try going back to Firefox 2...

I've not tried 3 yet...
