Ehh it dont mather what program you used even if you used MS Paint you could create something beter than some one else does in photoshop... So posting our best work to compare with between programs makes no sense. It depends on the persons skills.

Heres the first thing I made in Photoshop.

I had half a years experience using GIMP before it though.

Photoshop is probably the better program. Its the industry standard.

Thats Tom Cruise from Collateral. Its fairly easy to make by duplicating layers, adding multiple angled strokes alongside other effects. Its really just a simple demonstration of stock manipulation using erasers to make the focal point stand out. A few lighting effects as well. Thanks for the compliment. :)

ehh i only messed wit photoshop so i cant say,but if you have low ram like mine (256 and no i cant upgrade lol compaq sux :@) than i wouldnt recommend it cuz its greedy wit ram, hmmm nobody uses macromedia fireworks its almost like photoshop alot of the same features and it can read psd's and the filters, only bad side to it is its not as many file formats to save to.

I agree with what's been said be4. U can't really compare those softwarez but what i can say is no matter the one you use as long as it gets the job done... In my case, i've started on Ps, and didn't change since, although i've tested the others and didn't feel like changin... not that Toshop is betta but the other ones didn't bring anything more...

Peace
