It has been brought to my attention (thanks Lethal Illness!) that an ad is being served on this site which is redirecting users to a fake virus scanner download site.

I contacted my ad network and they gave me this document of how to find out which network is running that ad.

Right Click > Save As

Please download that so you know what to do if you do get the ad.

The ad code will be for the 728x90 banner in the footer so it'll be the second instance of the code not first. (It will be first if you are staff, respected member, supporter)

Allright, I just wanted to inform all members about a practice called phishing, that I have seen recently taking down vbulletin forums. Phishing is the practice of illegaly obtaining members usernames and passwords through use of links. What happens is, somebody leaves a link on our site, you click on it, and the link asks for your user id and password, you put it in, and you may have just sent your info to a hacker, who can now take over your account (extremely bad scenario, is if a mods account is phished, the culprit can mass delete all threads, cause shit etc.)

whenever you click on a link, look at the bottom bar of your browser and make sure the site name matches the top address bar, if it doesent, someone is trying to get you.

also try and use different passwords for your different applications, e-mail, photobucket, ebay, etc.

Watch out for links, and watch out for phishers

How Does The 'Talent Points' System Work?
The talent points system works like this, you get:

1 point for replying to a thread in the specified forums, with an undisclosed amount of characters.
- 2 points if your reply has 200 or more characters.
-3 points for starting a thread in the specified forums.

Why Is 3 Points Taken Away?
3 points are taken away because you need 3 points to start a thread in the forums specified above.

Why Do We Have This 'Talent Points' System?
We have this system so each member who posts there work in these forums, receives feedback.

Do I Get Talent Points For Replying To My Own Thread?
No, this would be a waste of time, and it probably would be abused.

Do I get Talent Points For Replying To A Thread I Have Already Replied In?
No, quite simply because your further replies would most likely be agreeing with other people's posts.
