Was just thinking

I got around to reading the latest newsletter and agree with cp as far as him saying he wishes people were more active around the other fourms.

I was thinking of things that we could all do to make this fourm a great place to be besides the acapellas

first off...i no of a chat room where it may be possible for you to get one where it is live web cam and mic chat where we could host live battles and jus chill if we like i'll post some links if your intrested cp

we could give contest to get people posting in the talent sections...hottest rhyme beat and blend will get posted in the newsletter we can provide a link to ur page to generate more traffic and also members of cp who prolly dont even think to listen to the things in tha talent section

you could post your rhymes beats and blends like normal but if you are intrested in mods looking at it to be in the newsletter just put in the subject for the newsletter and give real feedback to three others and us as mods should listen and give honest feedback and tell cp you no maybe this person deserves a little spot light in the newsletter

we as mods we should all decide what it is we will do besides warn and delete peoples post....i will get back to posting news daily and allow myself to be around to fill instrumental request

we should have a mod that notices people who are active and also mention them in the newsletter...basically try to get people to be active be rewarding them with some sort of spotlight and letting people notice them

and as for mods dont just warn people find a job that u have the time for and things you could do on the site and keep it up keep current with it...if your gonna upload madd instrumentals every week mixtapes singles news or whatever we should have a mod that keeps up with new albums and mixtapes to post tha tracklisting..things like that...well jus thinking

as for the spotlights,

i was gonna start with them in the summer, when i get a portal and stuff running, i'll include artist of the month, member of the month, remix's of the month, beats of the month, rhymes of the month e.t.c


but yeh they could be put in the newsletter for now untill i get the portal and stuff running,

there would need to be a way of determing these things fairly, i need some idea's on how to that would be done....

Modz need to start going into the talent section...I feel like im the only mod that goes in there and dishes out the warning or alerts...people come to this site then they leave when they post rhymes or beats that get ignored because nobody is peeping them....how many modz do we have like 12? picture if all us modz listened to people and their work that is 12 replies right there and a person will come back and that will make other people listen to they shit also

it is on us as modz to be fair in judging these things and actually give helpful feedback it is coming down to modz people follow good examples and if we all be good modz and do what we are suppose to do as modz as far as looking at peoples work and giving it positive feedback it wont be hard to tell who everybody els thinks is hot or great...

i jus really wanna put this weight on modz because we dont do much...when the board has problems CP fixes it CP does just about everything and he hired us so we can help him wit the little things like this

yeh it'd be good too if every mod (or atleast a few) replied to the stuff postedin talents

I know exactly how u feal Dubz, 4 a long time i was about the only mod making rounds in the talent section (mostly the remix/blends section) and i was a bit overwelmed, ive noticed this last month or so the rules are being followed alot more but it was almost to much for me to stay on top of things, i cant even count how many times i personaly messaged people about the 3 reply rule, my biggest beef is that alot of the time people dont list who they replyed to so im stuck going though thread after thread looking for their replys, when somebody follows the rules like they should i try to make it a point to drop some feedback, i think wunthugspassion is setting a awsome example, if people did like him then we would be in great shape and alot more people would see some feedback, when somebody declines to follow the rules i dont reward them with any feedback, i close the thread and let them know that they need to reply to 3 people before its re opened, now that we got the little box that states exactly what needs to be done people cant claim that they "Diddent know".

if they dont post the three links you should probably just close the thread and leave it with a message like... "pm me with three link responses to reopen this thread"

Some good ideas... When i have extra time i try to go in the talent section and view posts that have very few replies....

Maybe there could be a scrolling news banner, or like in the arcade where a random game shows up, you could have a random talent thread or something...


Also....is there a way to make it easier to show that you replied to three threads....any way to have some kind of counter that says how many talent threads they've replied to and when they post a new thread, 3 would be subtracted from that number....

this would also be possible, but i just dont have time to do coding for stuff... college exams coming up and jobs....

same here....it's not something that you'd have to do instantly, but at some point here at crazypellas, it might help out...

i dont really too much care about the links i just really care that people are replying that is all that really matters to me and i mean good replies

people say some bullshit and i let it slide because i need people active and posting thats why i really want the modz replying because as modz we should be able to sit there and say look this is good you can improve like this that and this and encourage people to continue posting but peoples post being ignored and nobody replying things like that is why people dont want to follow the rules and why nobody is posting...people gotta feel like they are getting respect for what they are doing not like they sit here and do tha shit for their health

Maybe more contest? I find myself here more then average when I'm in a producer/beat contest.

the problem with that is the no shows we need active members before we do contest
