Them mothafuckas over at Sohh are haters. Believe me CP this thread is not advertising.

as you all know who frequent the hip-hop section i often provide news from asorted websites Sohh being a big one. But over time they have gotten new bloggers and now the site is just full of VERY BIASED jurnalism hater posters and stolen headline news from Allhiphop.com. Often Word For Word.

They have recently added a feature on the blogs were the blogger has to approve your comment before it is posted to the site. And they seem to not approve any comment that is worth posting.

I have left two comments on the site today that were denied and i wonder why. First i left a comment about the one blog that i found to be a waste of bandwith. He wrote about the new 50 cent vitamin water ad where a orchstra (spelling) plays in the club with violins and whoo kid plays and artist while 50 is the cunductor. And not for nothing In The club sounded pretty good.

Oviously this is coca-cola using 50 cent as their vitamin water poster boy and the ad was apart of his big payday. I do not think 50 cent has any creation powers over the ad yet the blogger hated and hated and hated on 50 cent. Even went as far to say "who drinks vitamin water" im like what? Dude is hating his ass off.. And its fact that he doesn't like 50 cent but i promise you if you frequent Sohh This blogger as well as Reckless write about nobody but 50 cent yet they hate him so much..Reckless is the one that came out with the fake police report then accused 50 cent for being a snitch. in my comment i broke down some facts for him cause he seems to be stupid and u see my comment isn't present however he approved the comments of some of these ignorant people. People who insult him his writing even the site its on. I didn't do this is just told him his facts are off he doesn't no what hes talking about told him people do like vitamin water and his blog was a waste of bandwith and he was a hater..to bad i didn't notice it was a talking videos blog i would have really given him da business HOW ABOUT U TALK VIDEOS AND NOT TELEVISION ADS?

Then another Sohh blogger dissed me da same way but denying a comment i told him that his blog was half put together and it was a waste. Basically Sohhgoya who does sohh Latino wrote a half ass blog about jim jones and how stack bundles death is another nail in da coffin that holds dipset.

And well u no my views on it if u read my article i wrote in the hiphop section i left him a comment and he didn't approve it and he then approved all these bullshit ass comments that disrespect him and i didn't even do dat its sad how much these -----s is haters over there The Ongoing Death De Dipset : SOHH LATINO: SOHH BLOG

My personal opinion on Famous, & Rich people doing comercials is sumed up in one word:

SELLOUT!

I don't care if its Fifty sellin water, Redman and Method doin' a deodorant ad or what the fuck else you can think of. Doing comercials is acting more whorey than just about anything, when you got money fallin' from your pockets-If I got ten million-I sure as hell aint going to be shilling Doritos.
I was allready losing respect for Eminem after his third Lp came out, but the clincher for me was when I saw the Em. Ipod add-I was just like fool can't get no lower, I ain't listened to shit he done since then, and got no respect for him now, I respect some of his early music, but thats all I can say I respect when its comes to this cat now.
Nowadays I know that artists make heavey money in endorsements, product placement, sponsorships, but I draw the line at actually stepping up and doing commercials.
If I like a product I might mention it in an interveiw, but more than likely you just gunna see me with it, or wearing it-I ain't on no Crusade to make you do, like I do.

Well when you ownnn half of the product or it is your product it is your job to make commercials for it if you exspect people to buy it. Jay-Z is in his S . Carter commercials GAME is in his Huricane commercials Diddy is in his Sean Jean Pro Active and unforgiven cologn ads but sooon as 50 cent does a ad for his vitiam water he is a sell out..WOWW

lets be real..if they put the chairman of Vitamin Water in a Commercial will anybody know who da fuck he is? It would be just another Commercial on TV with 50 cent in it it makes first of all people pay attention to it and shit 50 cent got people in the hood drinking Vitamin Water. I think that goes to show how popular 50 cent is. he gets put in a commercial the product sells other rappers do commercials got ads for they ugly ass sneaker on every other page in da source and XXL and still can't sell it.

I dont consider doing commercials or Endorsements of any type selling out i consider it meaning your star power is growing it a People like Nike Pepsi and those big brands inlist a gangsta rappa to sell they product that means they are getting bigger and people notice them not every rapper gets endorsements that is a sports thing plus u can't be a rapper forever Endorsements open up the doors for acting and better business shots

Yeah man, are you serious?! I completely agree with Ef on this. When you're doing commercials, for the most part, you have reached a star status that few can achieve. For instance, Jay-Z..... Please tell me how the fuck you gonna have GMC create YOUR VERY OWN COLOR and have it in a special edition Yukon Denali and you AIN'T gonna do a commercial for them? I'd be doing commercials for them left and right. I mean, I wouldn't be doing no goofy stupid shit like runnin around the car or gettin' hit by it or something. As long as it's a decent respectable commercial where I advertise your product, sign me the fuck up.

50 Cent was smart in endorsing and doing commercials for that Formula 50. Like Ef said, he reached the urban market and got them drinkin vitamin water. Matter of fact, I just had one for the first time the day before yesterday. I could have grabbed any of those other kinds, but honestly, I grabbed the Formula 50 one cause I knew that's his shit. And I like grape too! (lol) When a big-time company steps to you and wants you to endorse and promote their product and you're a RAPPER, then you must be on some other level star power shit. Cause most companies look down on hip-hop like any relation to it will tarnish their reputation.

So for real man, don't fuckin knock artists who are just on top of their business game. Rappers & Hip-Hop don't get enough respect as it is. Now they are slowly starting to get a small niche in the market and people outside of Black America are taking interest. Don't bring them -----s down. Help lift them up!

i dont see a problem with rappers doin commercials, as long as theyre using the product i dont got too much of a problem with it.

only when its obvious that they dont use the shit and that theyre just doin it for the money then i got a problem with it. for example, p diddy doin the proactiv commercials. well 50 always drinkin dat shit and diddy did have horrible skin at one point i believe at one point he did use proactive but im not sure if he is still using it but he just might i herd pro active is actually a good product i have thought about using it but my skin is no where near as bad as those cats in da commercial

well when i was in college doing creative writing and journalism the first day of school they say "When you write essays or articles they should be non biased and just be facts not opion"

And that is what the people over a Sohh don't understand you can have you opion everyone has one but you are suppose to deliver the facts and let the readers determind their own opion

not make up shit that makes your opion seem factual and then try to convince your readers of the bullshit your spilling

^Thats not at all what I said-I said that no matter who the fuck you are if you got tons of money you don't need to be on a commercial-that applies to Every man, woman, and child-alive or dead. Just because You have not read me saying that Jay-Z is a sellout, that Game is a sellout, or Diddy is a sellout does not mean that I don't think they are.

^This piece gets me to chucklin', the things that you say smh..... How the fuck many commercials have you seen with the company chairmen, president, ceo, ect on them? There are a few, I will grant you, But the fact is that you don't see a superstar in every comercial on tv-you see half naked women, fast cars, and noname actors playing parts.

If you want your product to sell you need to create a good comercial-that has entertainment value, not just slap some famous person on it. Only fools watch comercials nowadays anyhow, ever heard of the mute button?


You can't do anything forever, thats why you stack your money if you are making it from rapping and move onto somthin' else your good at.
Just one more reason that most movies are crap these days, is the fact that there are all these "Famous Faces" that are getting roles in films just on the merrit that people will want to see the movie that they are in.

-95 percent of these people be they rappers, rockstars, Sports Mvp's, ect. Have no acting talent what-so-ever, its painfull to watch as they drag down movies till the box office results start to fall off and they get replaced with the next "Famous Face".




If you want to be in bussiness and make money go for it, but don't do a commercial, then come an run tell me that you had to do it-there are plenty of ways to make money without actually puting your likeness, and "supposed opinions" up for auction.
My opinion is that commerecials are for people that need money to get started in the business of there choice, not for people that all ready got more money than they can spend, if your product is so very poor that you need a Famous Face to sell it-mabey you should make a better product instead of blaming tv and radio comercials-as far as I'm concerned when I see(-not hear, as I was able to locate that mute button-) some famous person selling somthing-I don't rush out to buy the product-I stay the fuck away from it-if it needs that kind of boost to furnish sales its probably crap.

As in Agent Oranges' comment on the GMC-they're near bancruptcy becasue of the foreign car market, and most of their products have been crap latley-I wouldn't do a GMC comercial If I was Allready rich, I wouldn't have a big car manufacturer make me any special vehicles either, I would build, or have a shop build somthing of my own design so I could say it was mine-not just another shit box chev, chrysler, ford, ect.

Which brings me back to my original Point- I think that people with money who do comercial are sellouts, and whores, becasue they don't need that money-they could make it in many more resectable ways-If you don't got that big money, I'll look the other way a few times....

Well, I respect your opinion. But in the business world, and in the real world, your way of thinking is the minority. Just because PHAT-DUB doesn't go out and pick up Product A because Rapper A was on the commercial, doesn't mean that the rest of the masses won't. Why the hell do you think so many companies go and get famous celebrities to market their product? CAUSE ALOT OF PEOPLE BUY PRODUCTS WITH FAMOUS PEOPLE ENDORSING THEM. Why would they waste their time if this marketing scheme didn't work?

For example, everybody that goes out to pick up Formula 50 vitamin water don't necessarily pick it up just for the sole reason that it's 50 Cent's. Whether you realize it or not, you make a sub-conscious connection between the commercial and the product. The purpose of commercials is to pretty much hypnotize the viewer. It's not guaranteed to work 100% of the time, but when you see Formula 50, you think about the commercial and/or 50 Cent which increases your likelihood in picking up that product.

Are you serious man? You don't see a superstar in every commercial, because first of all, if you endorse too many products and your face is ALL over TV, then yes, you will be seen as cheesy. Also, that would be very hectic to record like 15 commercials for 15 different companies. Second of all, if you have just all rappers on every commercial, they lose their viewer hypnotizing power. They won't seem so special if you see their face on every channel. That's why companies don't do the famous person thing ALL the time, but every now and again. Third of all, getting celebrities to endorse your product and do commercials is probably really fucking expensive. That's why you get half-naked women who will bounce around for 1/6th the price and no-name actors who just want to get their face on TV.

You also don't fucking need to create a good commercial that has entertainment value. I don't know who the fuck told you that one. Proactiv used P. Diddy. Non entertaining commercial. Coke & GMC & at one point Reebok uses Jay-Z. Non-entertaining commercials. GAP uses Common. Hanes uses Kevin Bacon, Jackie Chan, and Michael Jordan. Covergirl uses Queen Latifah. At one point Shaquille O'Neal was doing those Taco Bell Double Decker commercials. (Those shits where good too) And now he's doing commercials for Icy Hot. Slum Village did a couple car commercials where they just rap around a car. Anyways, do I really need to go on? Famous people just speak for themselves on TV. You CAN just slap them with a product and watch your sales increase. And you shouldn't talk so candidly about the amount of fools who watch commercials. You'd be surprised how many of those fools there actually are.
