Default real talk...warning: serious preaching in here - 17-09-2005, 06:20 AM

(just cause i feel like preaching......)

i'm not going to go all into detail, but someone told me that all the unfortunate things going on with people and the world is caused by the devil, they said that you and God can not do anything about it....i disagree......................now according to this person, whenever something bad happens, it means that the person let the devil come in an cause that event.....now, i kind of agree with that part, but this person was also telling me that God can not do anything about it, and has nothing to do with the evil things happening. again, i disagree. God has everything to do with anything on HIS planet. He is the one letting the devil slip through that crack and cause something to happen, if God did not want the devil to do that, he would stop him, because the Lord is the most powerful force (or being, whichever u believe in) to ever exist....think about this: God created the devil. now, i might not be 100% correct, but the devil was once an angel, the most beutiful angel in heaven, and he let his ego get to him, therefore forcing God to send the devil to hell......so, if God created the devil, he could definately take him away. its like that thing ur parents always say when u get them mad: i brought u into this world, and i can take u out (which technically isnt true, both comments, but still, its like that for this occasion). now see, i believe in "everything happens for a reason", i also believe that God lets things happen for a reason. so, 9/11 and the bombing in england (i think englend...? im not sure, correct me if im wrong) happened TO TEACH US SOMETHING, some might not of gotten it yet, but sooner or later u will. what i got from 9/11 is that, we dont need bush as president, its not worth him as president, because he is doing nothing for us....back to the topic though....God allowed the devil to put people through 9/11, the bombings, anything negative that happens to a person, God lets happen, because it teaches them and the people around them something.............thats just my opinion on it, cause i dont think God would let things like that pass if it wasnt for a reason, i mean....God loves everyone. why would God put them through pain and suffering for no reason at all? it wouldnt be possible for him to do that to his own creations.....as humans, we are put here for a reason, and we are significant to him, proving that whatever goes wrong in ur life is just to teach u something, so when u run into a problem similar to that, u have prior knowledge.....yall heard of that in school right, for science, a hypothesis....thats it right there, after it happens once, and its about to happen again, u should be able to hypothesize what exactly would happen and come up with a way to either prevent or lessen the effect of it....of course, depending on if u got the point of Gods lesson......but thats just my opinion, no one, no matter how smart u think u are, and no matter how much u know, u can not determine how God works, but of course, i am going by the bible, the book that God did write, and God put Job through a lot, he lost his children, his animals, everything, just because God was testing him, and he never got any of that back, im not trying to look like i'm saying the opposite of the whole u dont know how God works, but again, thats my opinion and what i believe.....Noah was put through a lot, and Jonah was put through a lot also.......here is a verse from the bible, that in a way associates with the point i am trying to make.

"O Israel, says the Lord - a mighty nation, an ancient nation whose language you don't understand. Their weapons are deadly; the men are all might. And they shall eat your harvest and you children's bread, and your flocks of sheep and herds of cattle, yes, and your grapes and figs; and they shall sack your walled cities that you think are safe. But I will not completely blot you out. So says the Lord." Jeremiah 5:15 - 5:18

if that doesnt make sense, or if by now u are thinking of all these ways to say some bad shit about me, then please, stop reading this, because i dont need replies talking about me not knowing anything, or whatever, i really dont need any flaming from this

basically, the verse tells ME that even though u may lose everything, God loves u, and is teaching u a lesson.....when he takes ur harvest and brea, grapes and sheep and city, that is basically him saying "ok, time to wake up and understand this", so think about that before u go getting mad at God for doing something RIGHT, u never know when it just might help u in the future.....

anyway, there u go, a little preaching by vinny lane, i might add some more later, but for now thats all i could think of...mind u this took me at least 30-40 minutes to write, and im writing in notepad, so this is a copy and paste right here

the choice is yours... you can get with this..... or you can get with that....

God did not let the devil slip through the crack. the devil is here to test us. as much as we like to thank God and blame the devil, the fact is that they're here to lead us. we make our own decisions, and we should bear its benifits and consequences ourselves.

now sometimes things happen to us that are a result of someone elses choices. well, shit happens. people are sinners and they make mistakes. help them. after all, if we're doing the 'good' things and they're doing the 'bad' things then shouldn't we be helping them [because they wouldn't be helping us]. we're all here together.

what i got from that verse was a lesson in faith. kind of like TRY AGAIN.
even if you lose all your material things, you still have God with you, and God still has faith in you, or else you'd probably be blotted out.

thanks for sharing. keep up the good preaching...

good post vinny, i think the same way you do.. i think the bad things that happens to us in life are to help us and open our eyes and see the bigger picture

I think an example of god's way, and this is what I think, last year was one of the birthdays i looked forward to the most because I was spending it in Puerto Rico with my pops and grandmother for the first time in 10 years, well we had avoid about 3 hurricanes already but right on the day of my bday Sept. 15th we got hit by one and that same day my grandmother got VERY sick just out of the blue, now I was pretty pissed because the day I looked forward to the most was ruined but her getting sick just made me forget about myself and that celebrations dont really mean shit unless you have your family with you and I had them, she was so sick she couldnt even get out of bed and all the old lady was thinking about was her grandson

Now she didnt just get sick, they had to carry her out to the main hospital and come to find out she had suffered thru several strokes and on the most special day to me I lost the woman I care for most.... now just 2 days ago it was my bday and her first death anniversary and here where Im at we had thunderstorms that were dropping rain like a mutha and streets were flooding, it just reminded me of that day last year when the same thing was happening, I talked to my father down there and they also had gotten alot of rain, now I dont think thats just coincidence and I believe god had something to do with that as well... 2 days ago served almost as a reminder to the events that happened a year ago which I will never forget and always cherish every minute you get to spend with the people you love and always tell them you love them

well this is a sensitive topic for me so i will stop here, just wanted to share some of my experience and drop some real talk as well

(the three last posts, yall need to just stay out the thread if u gon be postin some off topic shit like that)

but anyway......ilikestuff - yea man, exactly what i was saying, but i think u said it better, but i feel u on that one

boricua - damn, i'm sorry fam, r.i.p to ur grandma.....that is just an example, like im guessin u were saying....that taught u something........

but my opinion on deaths like that, God allows it to happen, but never leaves the victims family and friends without something knew learned, and God nevers really takes that person away from u....in flesh, yeah he does, but never in spirit...and it teaches u a lot of different things, depending on the relationship u had with that person

its crazy to me how God works

LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT LOL

Yours Sounds Too Complicated for me

I Could run with the people that hate me and i could hate my life
I Could run with people that love me and think im the shit

if you think the bible is something, than it is
if not than its not

No matter where you go, your gonna find people to disagree and people to agree
you never know how smart they are, untill you find out how smart you are

my life aint shit man i use to be good
now im all washed up

it is what it is

This happend, then this happend... no reason
that happend then that happend... no reason
Thats how it is
IT IS WHAT IT IS
