Nah, the paperclip storys legit, it was on the news also, that guy is the fucking man.

Yeah, I saw an article about it. This is fuckin nuts. But at the same time, what kind of fucking dumbasses would actually trade for the shit he had?

If you think about it, this guy would have to "up-trade" (if that's even a word). Like, the trades were never for equal value. He always had something of lower value than what he got. Like, why would these people even trade with him for the shit he had? Totally beyond me.

But kudos to the guy! Who else can say they got a house with nothing but a paperclip?

yeah, some of those trades i wouldn't imagin happening, like a doorknob for a stove and the moving truck for the trip to yahk.. come on who's heard of yahk and who even wants to go there.. but i think the news coverage it was getting helped some of the trades alot too. the skidoo guy has his own radio and tv show, and made the deal on air..

and i'm guessing that the stuff that got traded wasn't of any real value to the trader anymore, which is a good reason to trade it. one man's junk is another's treasure
