I'm an oldschool fan as well. Man, have you noticed on new cars there are no bumpers? The bumper is integrated into the design, which may sound cool, but it means you pay a hell of a lot more if there's an acciddent.
I'm old school muscle. Old cars are simpler, they aren't all complex and complicated. You can work on them a lot easier and do shit yourself.
Oh and one semi related note: don't buy an automatic sports or muscle car. Learn to drive a manual, it ain't hard, and you're so much more in tune with the car. Manual=driving, automatic=riding. (though for luxury, automatic hands down)

All very good points-I like to work on my own shit as well(wich is nearly fuckin' impossible with todays computerized shitmobiles-not to metion the fact that there is no extra room in the engine compartment for working, and you gotta pull the whole fuckin' block to do most shit). Currently I'm waiting for spring so I can start work customizing-shit, an doin' a total rebuild/restore-on a 1970 Torino 4-door Hardtop Brougham. I got the bitch for 100-no engine no trany, had a vinal roof so you can probably imagine the rust isse up there-though other than that the cancer is relatively minor, its still got all its chrome, and the interior is still in pretty decent shape-but I'm gunna be redoin' that also.
As far as I'm concerned for old muscel look no farther than mopar, late 60'ies through early 70'ies-fuckin dopest cars ever built-challenger, charger, cuda, roarrunner, ect. personally I like a 440 wedge all zooted out instead of a 426 hemi~parts are to expensive for these overrated bitches.

I agree with both Phat-Dub and A.Woods, old is where its at, but im all about the pimp potential,, I dont care what year it is, or what make it is, if its got pimp potential, imma dig it, take for instance, my car, its a 1988 Buick Regal Custom (pimp car in its day),,, its got pimp potential,,, a 1996 impala,,, has pimp potential,,, pimp potential, makes or breaks vehicles today
**disclaimer** by pimp potential, I aint talkin bout no xzibit pimp my ride kinda pimp potential, I mean the potential of pimpin women in that mufucka,,,,, jk | |
