If you need an actual soundcard then the M-Audio Delta 2496 is the way to go, I posted a review in the review section. Unless you have a shitload of outboard gear, then you need something like the M-Audio Delta 1010. Either way the M-Audio ones are cheap and userfriendly.

im noticing shit has changed i use to be able to replace the internal soundcard on my pc but now its not as easy i got new drivers for a better soundcard but i can't change it
im guessin with this pc i jus gotta buy an external

the soundcard can only go to a certain extent, so even if you have the best drivers its not going to make it any better because it reached its limit, for better sound you will need a new one, its easy to install and you can find some that are easy on the pocket | |

yeah im jus gonna keep stackin my rhymes up and if all goes right this new job comes through and buy july i'll cop that new Dell i want so fucking bad and my pc troubles should FINALLY END! but you gotta admit for finding a compaq persario 5050 on da street and bringin it back to life its pretty great jus not good for recording music =(
