Yes but your message of mainstream has been misrepresented by the Musical Powers that be. Mainstream is what the prevailing audience wants to hear, but when that very audience is dupped into being told what to like and who to purchase.

Mainstream Hip Hop used to be Wu-Tang, Biggie and Nas... now what is it.

The people need to take Hip Hop back, plain and simple.

There is far more good hip hop than the same 20 bull shit songs you hear on the radio everyday.

Artists still putting out good music:
KRS
Heltah Skeltah
Nas
Jay-Z
Elzhi
Royce Da 5'9
Skillz
eMC
Blu
Hell Razah

the list goes on....just because it's not on the radio doesn't mean it's not out there.

People also need to realize Hip Hop is not just a genre of music, but also a culture based around the elements of break dancing, graffiti, DJing and emceeing. Therefore it can never die.

Im reading and I agree. But Im a man of no excuses, and I REFUSE to blame corporate america for the state of rap music today. Look mayne, the industry people, whoever they are, they just follow the flow of money. They just push out what they think will sell. And its selling....I dont know how...but its selling, sort of. But its still Its OUR music, bad or good (in this case bad). WE shape and mold it, not them. and if the industry did kill hip-hop, why werent we there to defend it. Look...I dont even know what REAL music is anymore, but Im gonna do me and listen to my favs. Thats all I can do.

Now if you'll excuse me....I have a sunset to walk into
