Finally, My Pc Is Back (It's Been A Minute Part 2)

so, i found this on the net a long time ago.

and i was like "hell yea, now i can get my sata1 motherboard to work with my sata2 500gb hard drive. my ide 160gb hard drive was givin' me problems from day 1 when i had to switch over to it. i did a fresh install of windows but i had problems like my ethernet connection not showin' up in my network connections windows (i use an ethernet cord for internet access, it's alot faster compared to when i had wireless).

but i was too lazy to go and drive to my friend's house and pick up my hard drive.

but i rebuilt 1 server and loaded ubuntu server edition linux and the gnome gui on it, i rebuilt 2 pc's and loaded ubuntu linux on them, i tried to load ubuntu linux on another pc (but the pc was just too old for linux to load on it) and i rebuilt another pc where the hard drive with the os on it had failed. so i was rebuildin' all of these pc's at work and i was like "i really need to quit bein' lazy and work on my own pc".

then this happened

so i was like "fuck this ide hard drive, it has too many software problems, i'm goin' to go pick up my sata hd".

but, my pc still wouldn't read my sata2 hard drive.

so i thought to myself, i bet that it is a hardware problem 'cause my sata2 hd doesn't even show up in my bios.

so i switched from the sata 1 port to the sata 2 port. but it still didn't show up in bios.

so i switched from the sata 2 port to the sata 3 port. and it showed up in bios. so i was right, it was a hardware problem. i blame all my pc problems on my hardware (lol, i keep switchin' from an asus mb to a soyo mb to an epox mb back to the soyo mb and now i'm goona switch back to an asus mb for my future pc dualcore/quadcore pc build).

but my pc still wouldn't boot into windows on my sata2 hard drive. i would get the option to load windows, use my last known workin' configuration or go to safe mode but windows wouldn't load. my pc would reboot instead.

so i made the ide the master and the sata2 the slave in bios and i was able to get into windows and see all of my files on sata2 hard drive.

but i couldn't burn anything to dvd-r 'cause my pc would have win32 services errors and my pc would freeze. i would have to reboot but the errors kept happenin'.

we us this "Vantec SATA/IDE To USB 2.0 Adapter" at work.

it's better than buyin' a external hard drive kit. i can have have one hard drive in a pc that doesn't work, hook it up to the pc that does work and transfer the files over to the pc that does work.

so i was about to drive to altec and buy one for myself.

then, i was like "let me see if i can get windows to load onto my my sata2 hard drive first".

but i didn't have a floppy disk for windows to load the sata drivers for the windows xp install. and soyo didn't tell you how to create one, they only gave you all of the drivers for every os.

so i tried to make my own boot disk by randomly selectin' files (the disk wasn't big enough for all of the files to fit on it).

but, the windows install would say that "file so and so was missing". so i had to reconnect my ide hd and add files to it until i got it right.

finally, i had all of the files needed and the windows install now saw my sata2 hard drive (i would tell me "no disk drive found" when i would try to install windows on it before i had created the floppy disk with the drivers).

windows said that the os was corrupted and it gave me the option to repair it. so i choose "repair".

finally, i could get into windows on my sata hard drive and see all of my files.

but windows was still messed up. i couldn't even go to add/remove software and install software or use other windows options like "restore point". finally, my pc got seriously fucked up when i tried to install my video card's drivers. my pc could no longer connect to the internet and i had to ctrl-alt-del my anti-virus, nod32, or my pc would freeze.

so i quickly burned my files to dvd-r. it only took my 30+ dvd's to back up my files.

i then did a clean install of windows and now windows runs perfectly. and this time, windows didn't delete my partitions and i still have all of my files on my second partition.

so, i just need to load all of my music from my ide hard drive. i can keep all of music on my hard drive again. my ide hard drive was too small for my music collection.

90% of my breakbeats and electronica is on my hard drive already. but i need to load all of my new orleans/louisiana rap and my korean hip hop.

forget my anime, that's stayin' on my dvd-r's.

i'm still job huntin'. but i've given up on city of the spurs (n.b.a.). everybody wants to pay me 20k/year and i have a 4 year college degree. so i'm only job huntin' in houston now. i average 2-4 interviews a month there. that's better than my 0 interviews a month here in the city of the spurs. i think i got the position for this one company but i need to call and see if the position is for their new location. their new location is under construction and will be ready sometime between now and january. the interviewer told me that the new location is closer to my address in houston now. but i didn't think to ask which location the interview was for. eh, if i have to wait until jan., i'll see if somebody else in houston will give me a postion before that other location finishes construction. i always have interviews in houston but i turn some of them down 'cause the pay is too low... i have no roommate for when i move to htown so i'm makin' sure that the pay is at least 30k...

wow?!? i got bored with the game. if you ever saw me playin' wow then it meant that i was bored of playin' gran turismo 4 and grand theft auto: san andreas. yea, i know. i only have two games on my ps2. i only have gran turismo 2, 007: tomorrow never dies and tomb raider on my ps1. and i bought tomb raider about 4-6 months ago (i never beat it back in the day 'cause we didn't have a memory card and we would have to start over at level 1 each day).

hmm, celebrity news??? let's see.

OJ done fucked up this again. and this time he's goin' to jail. he escaped jail last time. and everybody knows that he has money and assets hidden overseas in places like in switzerland. he's goin' down this time. that's just my prediction.

master p is startin' a cable channel to rival B.E.T. they better play good hip hop videos. rap city got cut from 2 hours a day to 1 hour a day...

what did you study in college?
depending on what you go for, thats how much you should expect to get paid.

i was a business administration/management major. business majors make more than 20k a year. the city that i am in has no jobs for college grads (all my friends left town after graduation).
