Avoid Upfront Listing Fee? / Reduced Listing Fee?

The only way to avoid listing fees completely would be to upgrade to a Gold, Platinum or Diamond account.

We see every other beat selling website taking a %age of the sales from producers and holding their payments for a number of days, which is something we don't want to do.

We wanted to give producers 100% of their earnings and get their money instantly. The only way to do this is to charge a small upfront listing fee.

Then we realized that producers have a lot of beats to sell, so we introduced the option of upgrading your account to avoid the listing fee.

How about waiting until a beat is sold before charging the listing fee?

I was going to upload a beat but I wasn't completely confident that it would sell so I didn't want to spend $10 for nothing.

I think this upfront fee might turn some people away, especially if they aren't sure how much attention their beats are going to get.

The way the system is programmed at the moment wouldn't allow us to take the 10% after the beat has sold without the money coming to our paypal account first and then you having to wait to be paid at a monthly/fortnightly cycle, which is what we want to avoid.

I understand the concerns of not being completely confident that your beats will sell that's why we have the option of paying a lower monthly fee. We certainly have the traffic for your beats to sell but you are expected to do your own promotion too as you are competing against many other producers, here you can find articles to help you sell more beats. The CP Beats Store, although still relatively new has quickly became the top visited section on Crazy Pellas after the homepage.
