Thanks for taking the time to do this interview Jakob22.
Is there a story behind your name Jakob22?
In Numerology the number 22 is considered the most powerful of all numbers. It is often called the Master Builder, followers believe the 22 can turn the most ambitious of dreams into reality. And just being a literary buff and a play on the dual characters that appear in my music is where I took Jakob22 and the Hooded Fang from.
How long have you been rapping?
Jakob22 has been rapping for eons but has not always appeared as Jakob22,it’s only now he decided to share his thoughts with the masses.
What first got you interested in becoming a rapper?
Just being involved with hip hop and loving reading and writing when you on the block hip hop is in you and you get involved where you can. I just happened to be really good with rapping.
What/who inspires your music? (If different from above)
Jakob22 takes his music to the next level by combing rock elements, fused with horror and fiction storytelling, all tied together with a hip hop foundation.
Considering himself a fiction author along the lines of Steven King, Jakob22’s is inspired by the likes of literary masters. Musically he has always been inspired by independence of some artists to build their own careers.
Do you see being a rapper as a career, or as a hobby?
Neither. Rap is something Jakob has to do, much more than just a career or hobby.
What are you trying to do with your music? Do you want to help your community? Are you trying to get rich? What is your goal for your music?
Jakob is just a creator, what makes the internet wonderful is you can just create and share with the masses. You invite anyone who wants to a glimpse into your crazy world.
Have you ever performed live? How did it feel?

Have you ever made any contact with major artists or other high positioned people in the music industry and do you keep in contact with them?
Definitely have made some connects and will be seen on our collabo album. You keep in touch differently depending on if it’s business relationship or some sort of friendship. If it’s business you contact them for business and be real professional with your ish so they welcome your call.
What one tip would you give to other aspiring rappers?
Work your craft don’t just start rapping one day and think you can come out with an album. Spend your time in the streets freestyling and battling, spend your nights with the pen writing, do the open mics. Work your craft.
What do you see is in the future for the music industry? How do you think it will evolve/change?
The lack of need for corporations to control the music. You have direct contact with your audience Never has an artist had this much control over their own destiny.
CRAZYPELLAS / INTERNET
Can you remember how you found CrazyPellas.net?
Googling about independent music and found it as one of the few sites still pumping.
How has Crazy Pellas helped you with your music career?
Have had a few collabs interest come. They get very good views for my videos and the criticism always helps improve new projects.
Do you feel like the internet is helping you as an underground artist?
The internet is helping the underground artist as there's no reason to not make music but it hurts because there's nothing stopping anyone from saying there an artist. There’s no boundary between pro and joe anymore.
How do you think social networks such as Facebook and Twitter have affected the music industry?
It helps as we have world wide distribution at our fingertips but at the same time I don't see enough cats on the street grinding with CD's anymore.
Where can we hear your music online?
What projects are you working on at the moment?
Jakob22 is finishing his 3rd project Fang 22:21 Dropping in summer.
Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years time?
Pushing out product performing to the Tribe of people who support the movement.
