Well, my real name Jaylyn but as you know I go By "Jayroe". Iím 14 years of age, born and raised in Atlanta, and I think Iím dope (Interesting fact)!
Is there a story behind your name Jayroe?
Well I first got the name from my uncle but he called me Jayrose! Until it later evolved into Jayroe .
How long have you been rapping?
Since I was 5 Years old.
What first got you interested in becoming a rapper?
My family really, they always gave me a diverse selection of music, besides my father had a passion for rap his self.
What/who inspires your music?
My Father. Drake, Childish Gambino and Kanye West.
Do you see being a rapper as a career, or as a hobby?
To be honest I see it as both, I love what I do! And if I can turn it into a career I will feel complete in my life time.
What are you trying to do with your music? Do you want to help your community? Are you trying to get rich? What is your goal for your music?
I'm not going to lie and say I try to help my community but I donít so much as spread a negative image to anybody who might look up to me. My number one goal for now would have to be just to be heard!
Have you ever performed live? How did it feel?
Not as of yet but Iím looking forward to it!
Do you have any kind of management, publishing or distribution team behind you? If so what are their responsibilities?

Nope, Iím really just trying to get myself going and build my fan base before I start reaching out to other main stream artists.
What one tip would you give to other aspiring independent artists?
Just do you always! And stay original cause you need that, being independent!
What do you see is in the future for the music industry? How do you think it will evolve/change?
Thatís a touchy subject. Imp not a believer in the "hip-hop is dead" thing, I believe that hip-hop or music itself is changing and just because you might not agree you can't say that its dead because itís not how you remember it! But to answer your question I see music being more or less the same.
Do you feel like the internet is helping you as an independent artist?
Yes it gives independent artists like me a huge opportunity to be heard!
