laptop

aight, im going to buy a laptop for me to use solely for recording off my turntables, im not gonna use it for anything else

i was thinking about getting a refurbished laptop but to be honest i dont know anything about them

if anybody could give me a few tips etc on what to look out for i would be very grateful

refurbished mean that it might have been opened so it was probably on display or has scratches or returned
for recording into ur laptop
you would need a good sound card
since its a laptop ull need somekind of external one like fireware

youll also want a new video card... since they come with crap ones... and a mouse is always helpful cuz those little scrollboxes are annoying as hell when making a beat... lol

i hate using those scrollboxes
for vidcard stock would do, depends on what its comming with
i mean ur not gonna be gaming on it

Get a Mac with an intel chip. Now you can even run XP on them, it's the best of both worlds.
