Default some questions regarding recording - 08-03-2008, 07:19 PM

I'm thinking of saying fuck selling my shit and am considering recording it, i got about 2 albums worth of shit to record so first things first, what should a beginner who has never recorded know first? give it to me A through Z, what type of mic and gear, tips on riding a beat and anything else relevant.

MXL 990 Mic and MXL Mic Mate USB phantom powered adaptor, XLR male to female cable, audacity or cool edit to record

and thats it

get you some beats and start recording that fire

the mic is 60 at amazon and the USB interface is 50 at musiciansfriend
