Help RECORDING WITH A MIC

I need help.So I got cool edit pro to make my remixes and recentli i tried to record my voice.but it onli recorded like 15 seconds of it.is there somethin wrong wit tha software cuz i got a pirated one.do i have to have a legal version or shulde i use a differnt software?

i record with adobe audition and if you cant get that use sony soundforge

It might be a buffer setting on your cpu. What type of system are you running? do you have enough processing power? Are you sure it's not "choking" your system? I used Cool Edit / Adobe Audition for years (cracked and purchased) before I switched to PT and I never had that problem unless it was a power issue. Try that and see if it works. Holla

also try recording in the multi-track...do you no how to get to the multi track??

are you even trying to rap?? because if u aint gonna rap or sing jus use da sound recorder to record ur voice tha basic program on every pc
