Wma To Mp3 Converter

i'm lookin' for a GOOD wma to mp3 converter, preferably free. i found a free one but it doesn't read and fill in the wma tags for you. the artist's name, the song's name, the album's name, the year and the genre were all filled in for the wma but it is left blank in the mp3 wizard and there is no way to import that info before you convert it (so you have to type in everything yourself.)

so i burned them to an audio cd, let wmp fill in the info for me (by selectin' the album's name usin' the internet/cd recognition feature) and then rippin' it to the hard drive as mp3's with everything filled in already.

but i'm low on cd's and i'd rather not waste audio cd's that i will never listen to.

so, is there a wma to mp3 converter that is easier and better to use (my car 's cd player plays up to 300 mp3's on cd-r's, not wma's.)

well not people know, but cool edit pro/adobe audition has a converter built in
and u prolly have that
so just use that..unless its gona take too long

Yea I was about to suggest the same thing, if not, there's a free music software called Audacity where u can do the same thing, but u needa download somethin else to export as an MP3.. I cant remember what its called tho.

I use Acouistica MP3 to WAV converter. It is as easy as right clicking on the file and choose CONVERT.

i've been using one called dbpoweramp music converter for years. versions 11+ are not free though, so you'd have to find version 10. the codecs on the site won't work for version 10 either. i got them lying about somewhere if you want them let me know, and i'll link you.
